MCDS Waitlist 6th grade

We are on the waitlist for MCDS for 6th grade. Does anyone have any knowledge if there is typically movement at this point? They have had an unusual year with more applicants than ever and zero rejections, thus no need to move to waitlist at this point unless someone moves or changes their mind. Is there any hope for us? We really want our child to go there and want to hold on to some hope that it could work out, but also believe that it probably doesn't look good at this point, even though the admissions committee have sounded favorable toward us.
